Dr. Sindy Goodman was raised in the Metro Detroit area. She has a passion for learning and higher education as evidenced by her four degrees. First, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in two and a half years at the age of 20 from the University of Michigan. She continued her educational journey by receiving a Doctorate in Dental Surgery and was immediately invited to join the faculty at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry full time.
Next, she went on to complete a graduate residency at St. Louis University, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and met her classmate and future husband and business partner, Dr. Robert W. Goodman. After 18 years in practice and while practicing full time, Dr. Goodman returned to UM Ross School of Business to earn an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) with high distinction. She is a member of the prestigious business school honor society, Beta Gamma Sigma.
Dr. Goodman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest distinction achievable in the specialty. She is also an active member of the following:

- Michigan Association of Orthodontists
- Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists
- American Dental Association
- Michigan Dental Association
- Oakland Dental Society
In addition, she attends numerous continuing education courses and study clubs to stay abreast of the latest techniques, materials, and technology available.
While away from the office, Dr. Goodman spends time with her husband and three teenage children. They enjoy the outdoors, lake activities, sports, and traveling.
