Following in his father's footsteps, Dr. Robert Goodman aspired to be an orthodontist from an early age. He attended the University of Iowa for his undergraduate studies and dental school, where he first earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1997. After dental school, he went on to earn a Master's Degree in Orthodontics from St. Louis University in 1999. For the last 22 years, Dr. Goodman has been practicing the specialty of Orthodontics right here in SE Michigan.
Professional Associations and Continuing Education
Dr. Goodman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists - the highest distinction achievable in the specialty. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Oakland County Dental Society. During the course of his career, he has been board-certified three times over, and he has been named a Premier provider of Invisalign. Dr. Goodman keeps up on the most cutting-edge technology continuing education requirements by attending multiple orthodontic conferences each year.
Outside the Practice
While away from the office, Dr. Goodman mostly enjoys spending quality family time with his wife and his three children. He finds relaxation in travel and leisure and loves most sporting hobbies, such as golf, exercising, and fishing. He has personally gotten a lot of satisfaction from coaching all of his children in basketball up until high school. Dr. Goodman feels blessed to be involved with his children's schooling and his church. He happily enjoys giving back to his community with philanthropy and volunteering his time towards many local activities.
